Bird watching trips to Patagonia Argentina
This is just a rough idea of how some of the specialties of southern Patagonia can be seen in a very short time. The length of the trip can easily be extended to cover more terrain and/or different habitats or find another specially needed bird. The itinerary can be reverted or it can start in other places (including Chile), flexibility is the key to get to see the birds.
Extensions to Torres del Paine National Park and Tierra del Fuego and boat trips for pelagics can be arranged. Some of the most exiting birds to be observed are:
Magellanic Penguin, Darwin's Rhea, Elegant Crested-Tinamou, Patagonian Tinamou, Hooded Grebe, Ruddy-headed Goose, Bronze-winged Duck, Andean Condor, Austrail Rail, Rufous-chested Plover, Tawny-throated Dotterel, Magellanic Plover, Seedsnipes, Magellanic Woodpecker, White-throated Treerunner, Short-billed and Common Miners, Austral Canastero, Band-tailed Eremobious , White-throated Cachalote, Magellanic Tapaculo, Chocolated-vented Tyrant, Rufous-tailed Plantcutter, Patagonian Tyrant, White-bridled Finch.
