Birdwatching in Patagonia

The length of the trip can easily be extended to cover more terrain and/or different habitats or find another specially needed bird. The itinerary can be reverted or it can start in other places (including Chile), flexibility is the key to get to see the birds. Extensions to Torres del Paine National Park and Tierra del Fuego and boat trips for pelagics can be arranged.

Return trip to the city to spend the night. About 270 km. Return trip, picnic-lunch in the field.

Day 2: RIO GALLEGOS - Ea. LA ANGOSTURA (Cardiel lake)
Night at the farm, picnic lunch in the field and typical barbecue dinner. About 530 km. drive.

Day 3: Ea. LA ANGOSTURA
Night at the farm, both meals at the farm between 20-150 km. to drive today. flying condor

Day 4: Ea. LA ANGOSTURA - CALAFATE (Los Glaciares National Park) mostly drive. Night in Calafate or drive to the National Park (camp or farm). It is 380 km. to the park, 80 less if staying in Calafate. Some other short drives are needed to bird the area. Meals in the field.
