We´ll enjoy a 11 day trekking, where we will have the opportunity to sleep in typical mountain lodges and tents, we will trek through valleys and ridges, passing along high mountain lagoons. Average height over sea level is between 1500 and 2000 meters over mountain terrain with forests, rockland, snow, etc. We will enjoy a typical argentine asado (barbecue) in Pampa Linda at the foot of Mount Tronador (3554m). then we will trek to the border of Chile. This trek surrounds Tronador (3554 mts) and some of its glaciers. This part is well known by the majestic glaciers of Mt. Tronador and the emerald color waters of Frías lake. After crossing the border the vegetation changes completely, gets very humid, called Valdivian Forest. Boat cruising with the views of Volcano Osorno and Puntiagudo. Finally we will arrive to Petrohué. From here the rest of our trip will be by car or van, driving around small towns in Chile like Pto. Montt, where we will enjoy a great view to the Pacific Ocean coast from where we will return to Bariloche. This is one of our most complete trips, including the great experience of crossing the Andes almost on foot - trekking over the Cordillera de los Andes. It is a quiet demanding adventure because of the amount of trekking days and training, although the rhythm is light and adapted to the group pace. If you think is too much for you the whole trekking we can tailor-made it for you. We will be trekking from 5 to 6 hours daily approx.

Day 1:
After arriving to Bariloche we get ready all the gear and we have a briefing together to introduce the group.

Day 2:
We start in Colonia Suiza, (tourist village where small family runs farms).15 km trek to Lag. Negra hut, cozy hut surrounded by a basaltic black peak and a deep blue lagoon.

Day 3:
Early in the morning we depart, heading to our first saddle, to down trek to a narrow valley. Then breathtaking ascent to Lagoon Cab (splash in the lake if weather allows us). Another few hours to our next camp. Night in tents.

Day 4:
From our last camp, comes another climb to a beautiful ridge with some quarze crystals.This day we will see lagoons , snow, Mt Tronador (highest of the area 3554mts).Night in a tent.

Day 5:
These day is a quite relaxing day. Few hours of hike. We will awake in a nice sandy beach with the view of Tronador. Cozy place. Night in a tent.

Day 6:
Down Climb to Pampa Linda from Illon lagoon. Takes few hours.Arrival to a cozy Hosteria at the foot of Mt Tronador. Night in Hosteria ***

Day 7:
Rest day, combined with short treks if people feels like it. Night in Hosteria ***

Day 8:
Hiking day below Alerce Glacier and its waterfalls. We climb to a 1400 mts pass. Down climb to Frias Valley. Amazing hanging glaciers and waterfalls from Frias Glacier. Night in a tent.

Day 9:
4 hs hike across Frias River getting to an emerald lake, Lago Frias. Night in a tent.

Day 10:
Nice bus ride across the border to Chile. Lake cruising by boat of Todos los Santos lake, with the majestic views of Mt Tronador, Volcano Osorno and Puntiagudo. Reception in Chile, drive to Cabañas. Almost in the Ocean!! Night in Cabañas

Day 11:
Drive to Pto Varas and Pto Montt, respectively city tours and drive back to Bariloche, through Villa La Angostura (for the people who hire this service).You can end in Pto Montt if fits better in your travelling plans. Night in Hotel. End of Services.


Rates: min. 3 people: (Includes: Professional Mountain Guides, all the shuttle services between Bariloche to Bariloche, Hotel in the first and last night, meals, tent, lodging expenses in mountain lodging, lodging in Hosteria Pampa Linda with full meal service, crossing with ferry on "Lago de Todos Los Santos", cabins in Ensenada, close to Pto Varas, city tour in PTO Montt, return with bus to Bariloche)
