Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Ushuaia, Argentina. Overnight in Ushuaia. Arrival, meeting party
Day 2
Board the M/V Orlova and set sail down the Beagle Channel toward Antarctica.
Day 3-4
Cross the Drake Passage. Sperm, fin and humpback whales, along with skies of seabirds will accompany our journey through the sea to Antarctica. Arrive at Deception Island's volcanic crater, on the afternoon of Day 4 for a hike and dip in the thermal pools.
Day 5
Continue our cruise trip to our ski touring objectives at Neko Harbour/Paradise Bay. Zodiac cruises, penguin rookeries, hiking. Almirante Brown Antarctica Station.
Day 6
Ski touring objectives at Anvers and Wenke Islands. Port Lockroy scientific base and museum. Visit gentoo and adelie penguin habitat.
Day 7
Lemaire Channel/ Mt. Scott/ Mt. Demaria/Mt. Mill ski touring descents. Visit the
Ukrainian Vernadsky scientific Antarctica station. Killer whale and leopard seal sightings wildlife observation.
Day 8
Graham Coast ski descents. Zodiac sea excursions of Iceberg Alley.
Day 9
New ski descents and glacier walks of Crystal Sound.
Day 10
New ski descents and nature cruises of
Crystal Sound; begin journey toward North in the evening leaving behind the Antarctica continent.
Day 11-12
Sail through the Drake Passage; pass the dramatic cliffs of Cape Horn at open sea.
Day 13
Disembark M/V Orlova in Ushuaia port in Argentina.End of our services.
