This trek will be an ascent to a 1.900 m summit. From the top you will enjoy a impressive view of Cerro Negro (2.200m), Nahuel Huapi Lake, Mount Tronador (3.354m) and some amazing volcanoes like Osorno and Lanin (3.776m). The walk is relatively steep, goes across different kind of vegetation, as we walk up, vegetation changes due to height. Once we are over the forest line, starts a slow steep on the edge, that take us to the summit. This adventure takes between 3 and 4 hours to get to the top, and between 2 or 3 to go down. At the top, the summit edge invites for an easy walk for some kilometers. In my humble opinion is the best one day trek around the area. This excursion is excellent for families with children over 12 years.

This excursions begins at the base of this mountain or if you want the ascent could be by 4x4 jeep to the mountain lodge. The walk from the base to the mountain lodge (half way) takes around 3 hours. We will enjoy a beautiful and impressive cascade over arroyo (stream) López. Once we are at the mountain lodge (1600m), starts the typical mountain trail, with gravel and rocks. Takes around 3 hours more to get to the summit. During the walk you will see a typical high Andean meadows, called mallines; some streams and some snow left from winter time. The beauties of this trek are the impressive spires of basaltic rock, like Aguja Lürs, and the enormous rocky walls that we will see. From the top (2200mts) you will appreciate the incredible view of Tronador (3.354m ), Volcano Osorno, Lanín and Brazo Tristeza (Nahuel Huapi Lake´s branch).

We can say that this mountain is between the Andes and the Patagonian steppe. Is a "precordillera" mountain. The walk takes around 3 hours to the summit, once you are at the top the terrain offers an easy walk over the edge. The beauties of this treks are, "a big window" formed by a big rock over others, also, we will enjoy the view of the basaltic spires that this mountain has. We will see the granite spires of Cerro Catedral, that looks like Medieval Castles It is a trek recommended for anyone. If you are an adventurer, you can join this summit with others mountains like Pontoneros, Meta and Confluencia

Our main ascent will be by the chairlifts of the Ski Resort, that will take us to the edge of Cerro Catedral, where will start our adventure in the backcountry. Once we are at the edge we will traverse this mountain heading to the SW, hiking on the 2000 m (over sea level) average. After 2 or 3 hours we will arrive to a platform at 2000m called "Cancha de Futbol". Here we will climb down the steep eastern slope that takes us to "Lagoon Schmoll" (a high Andean lake). Then, we will climb down for twenty minutes more and we will arrive to Toncek Valley where is the lake with the same name. Here we will be inside a valley with enormous and beautiful granite spires, where also is the Refugio Frey, where you can enjoy something to drink or eat. In hot summer days you can refresh yourself in the lake.

Is our easiest trek, where you will enjoy a 4x4 drive to get to the Refugio Neumeyer. From there starts a trail into the "lenga" forest that will take us to a light green color lagoon, called "Laguna Verde", this takes about 40 minutes. From the lagoon starts the trek to the summit of Cerro Chall Huaco, this takes one and a half or two hours more to get to the top. Is a beautiful trip to do with family and kids who would like to hike. From the top you will enjoy the view of Patagonian steppe area, and the "Precordillera Mountains"
