ANDESCROSS IN THE NEWS, MAGAZINES & BLOGS
Mountain travel company Patagonia, South America

Here is what people are saying about Andescross.

We are happy that our passion for the mountains is being shared. We have been lucky to do what we love as mountain guides: skiing, hiking, climbing and adventuring in the Patagonian Andes of Argentina and Chile every day!

Passion is the reason why we have a smile on our faces and a successful company after all these years!

THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT JORGE: INSIGHT INTO ARGENTINA’S GUIDING WORLD

I first met Jorge Kozulj in the lobby of a small hotel in Ushuaia, Argentina in 2009. We were gathered for an introductory guide meeting with Ice Axe Expeditions, discussing logistics for our ski cruise to Antarctica.

Kozulj was relaxed and friendly, humble and unassuming. A gregarious guide based out of Bariloche, Argentina, he quickly became a team favorite, endearing himself to our shipmates with humor during our 48-hour crossing of the infamous Drake Passage. Even while seasick and green in the face, he’d surface in the dining room for a cracker, nibbling ginger as he swayed with a big smile.

Konrad Bartelski hits Patagonia

In April 2017, our friend Konrad Bartelski, British Ski Legend, wrote a nice article about skiing Mount Tronador in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina.
The article describes our adventure in late November (late spring) we headed up to the iconic mountain of Nahuel Huapi National Park with 4554mts. We started in a nice cold storm that brought the last freshies of the season. We approached by horses to the snow level placing most of our heavy gear. Then we rested 4 days skiing in the glaciated terrain and finding good snow during the storm window.

For second time in POWDER Magazine (Sept 2013 issue) Pages 118-129

Proud and thankful, that after all this years (since 1999) of guiding in Frey hut area, Bariloche, Argentina , we got a full article of what we do best:
Skiing Steeps in between Granite spires!

In 2012 came famous photographer Grant Gunderson, Ski athlete Michelle Parker, KC Deane and writer Dan Kostrzewski to do this article with us. We really have been doing so much in that area, that we can show you every little corner and hidden spot. I was thinking was going to be only few pages in POWDER Magazine, and as huge surprise they place a full 10 pages article in center of the magazine. Thank you!

The film crew of Rocky Mountains Sherpas

September 2009 we worked with the film crew Rocky Mountains Sherpas and Nate Nash (cameraman for Matchstick Production for 10 + years). We had a blast organizing logistics, guiding, and helping with the filming the Crater of Volcano Puyehue in Chile as it was skied by world-class athletes from Salomon, Helly Hansen, and 4frnt Skis:  Mark Abma, Eric Hjorleifson and Chris Rubens.  They shot footage to create an environmental film and a TV show for Salomon Freeski TV.

Our Film Work with Salomon and The North Face athletes is described in this link
