Salomon Freeski TV Episode

Patagonia film productions - Mountain settings South America"Chile Volcano" Season 3 Episode 15. In September of 2009, we worked with the film crew Rocky Mountains Sherpas and Nate Nash, a cameraman for Matchstick Production 10+ years. We had a blast organizing logistics, guiding, and helping with the filming of the Crater of Volcano Puyehue in Chile as it was skied by world-class athletes Mark Abma, Eric Hjorleifson and Chris Rubens.

"All.I.Can." Environmental Ski Film

Patagonia film productions - Mountain settings South AmericaSeptember of 2009, we worked with the Rocky Mountain Sherpas as they shot footage for their Environmental Mountain Film, "All.I.Can.". Andescross organized logistics for athletes from Salomon, Helly Hansen, and 4FRNT Skis, Mark Abma, Eric Hjorleifson, and Chris Rubens, to ski first descents into the crater of Chile's Volcano Puyehue. Multi-award winning Dave Mossop (Director, Cinema Photographer) and Malcolm Sangster (Producer, Photographer) not only filmed with us in Chile, but also journeyed with professional skiers and mountaineers to Morocco, Alaska, and British Columbia to create their film. The full feature is available from the fall of 2011.

"The film strives to unite global mountain culture and bind us together as the leaders of a revolution. We must be inspired to do all we can for the environment, and we must learn how to take that first tiny step in the right direction." - Rocky Mountain

Jorge Kozulj, Andescross head mountain guide, organized logistics for this British Columbia based film and photography crew and Canadian professional skiers Mark Abma, Eric Hjorleifson, and Chris Rubens (and all of their gear!) to access this remote volcano in the Patagonian Andes of Chile. During this ski filming trip, the team also filmed for a Solomon Freeski TV episode and the environmental mountain film "All.I.Can." (above).

"In September 2009 we worked with Rocky Mountains Sherpas and Nate Nash (cameraman for Matchstick Production for 10 + years). We had a total blast organizing logistic, guiding, helping in filming and skiing the Crater of Volcan Puyehue in Chile with World class Ski athletes from Salomon, Helly Hansen and 4frnt Skis: Mark Abma, Eric Hjorleifson and Chris Rubens.
They took footage to create an enviromental film and a tv show for Salomon Freeski TV.

Check out the previous work of the R. M Sherpas: THE FINE LINE; an amazing educational film about Avalanche awareness that Powder Magazine describes as:

"A combination of top flight ski footage and avalanche awareness, The Fine Line is ski porn with a public service message. Featuring the best skiers in the world, dramatic avalanche footage, solid editing and good information that all skiers should be aware of, The Fine Line keeps viewers entertained while educating them." -Powder Mag
