GUIDED BACKCOUNTRY SKIING THE STEEP & NARROW IN PATAGONIA
2 days and extendable to endless!
End of July- beginning of November
Advanced Backcountry Skiers
Backcountry skiing, ski mountaineering
This guided multi day backcountry ski vacation is designed for advanced skiers to include ski touring and going off-piste in Northern Patagonia. For those skiers who have touring experience and want to enjoy some quality descents in South America, our mountain guides can help you focus on finding the good lines and access nice chutes, steep runs, and fresh powder bowls.
We’ve put together a nice combination of the best ski areas in the Lakes District of Northern Patagonia, Argentina. As well as skiing the Cerro Catedral, Cero Bayo, and Chapelco Ski Resorts, your mountain guide will also take you to backcountry ski in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Most days after skiing you will return to a hotel in town, San Carlos de Bariloche, Villa La Angostura, or San Martin de los Andes. Two nights in the Nahuel Huapi National Park you will stay in the charming mountain hut, Refugio Frey.
To go and play in the snow is fun, but go safely! Knowledge of snow is a science so we strongly recommend hiring a Professional IFMGA UIAGM Mountain Guide for this backcountry skiing trip.
